Student Academic Affairs

The Student Academic Affairs Office monitors the academic progress of every student in the College, from matriculation to graduation, and is the academic home to all Undeclared and Pre-Business students. We offer a wide array of services and provide answers to a host of questions pertaining to enrollment, registration, breadth requirements, College and University academic regulations, major declaration, and withdrawal from or readmission to UCR. The Student Academic Affairs Office is prepared to assist you in solving any academically related problem you might encounter.

The Social Science Departments in CHASS include Anthropology, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Women’s Studies. Faculty affiliated with these departments study a wide range of topics using many different research techniques.  These departments include some of the best teachers and most distinguished researchers at UCR, and I encourage you to visit their websites to learn about their degree programs and research endeavors.

The Arts and Humanities Departments in CHASS include the Departments of Art, Art History, Comparative Literature and Foreign Languages, Creative Writing, Dance, English, Hispanic Studies, History, Music, Philosophy, Religious Studies and Theatre.  The faculties and students of these departments are a dazzling group of scholars, artists, teachers and learners.  I encourage you to browse the individual department websites to view their accomplishments, awards, interests and activities.
