Meet our Best and Brightest
Minds Alive allows you to get to know some of the best and brightest students who have studied within CHASS. These students capture the essence of the student body at UCR: ambitious, committed and curious individuals who take chances and aspire to achieve at a high academic level. It shows not merely the doors that are open to potential students, but the benefits for individuals who study and support the humanities, arts, and social sciences.
Profiled Students include:
- Charles Alamo - a political science graduate who won a highly competitive public policy fellowship and was recently drafted to play soccer for the Los Angeles Galaxy
- Juliet Beni - a 16-year-old student in psychology who is working with Professor Robin DiMatteo on health psychology research
- Brian L. Tan - producer and director the Hollywood-quality short action-thriller "Incrimination"
- Samantha Wilson - attended the Clinton Global Institute University and worked on micro-finance projects in India
- April Murray - a recent AGSM graduate and UCR softball standout
- Daniel Polk - a Clinton Global Institute University alum who is attending graduate school at Princeton University
- Jason Song - studied ways to develop a high-tech corridor in the Inland Empire.
