Film and Visual Culture

Part-time Lecturer positions available for the interdisciplinary and interdepartmental Film and Visual Culture Program, which offers both a major and a minor. 

Fall courses (September 24-December 15) include:

Gender, Sexuality and Visual Culture: Feminist Film Theory and Practice
Major Figures in Film and Media

Winter courses (January 2-March 22) include:

Introduction to Television (lower-division)
Topics in Film and Media History: Film and Media History after WW II

In the application letter, candidates should indicate the courses they would like to teach.  The application packet should include at least one syllabus, a curriculum vitae, verification of credentials (diploma, official transcripts, etc.), a brief writing sample (up to 20 typed manuscript pages), and three letters of recommendation and/or teaching evaluations.  Submitted materials will not be returned.  Salary is $4300  per course. Teaching experience and M.A. required.
