The CHASS Mentoring Program
The CHASS Mentoring Program pairs junior faculty members with their senior peers, helping newcomers acclimate to life at UCR
The Patricia McSweeny McCauley Chair in Teaching Excellence
Encouraging research on excellence in teaching, the McCauley Chair holder receives a $5,000 stipend and gives an annual lecture on aspects of teaching and presents the CHASS Seminar for freshmen and sophomores.

The CHASS Employment page lists all full-time and lecturer positions available in the college. UCR Office of Academic Personnel oversees the hiring of faculty. Job postings can be found on the respective department’s Web sites as well as on the Southern California Higher Education Research Consortium (SoCalHERC) Web site.

Scenes from a Classroom allows you to have a brief but intimate look at a class being offered by a department within CHASS, then to go behind the scenes with the instructor and learn what drives the instructor and motivates the students.
Featured instructors include Roger Ransom of history, Peter Graham of philosophy, Juan Felipe Hererra of creative writing and Wendy Rogers of dance.
