Future Graduate Students
Pushing the Envelope in the Quest for New Knowledge
We know that pursuing a graduate degree is completely different than starting an undergraduate career. You know what you want to study and are looking for the right mentor, the right curriculum, the right fit.
World-class, cutting edge, accessible, diverse. These are just some of the words that have been used to describe the faculty within CHASS. Combined with the College’s interdisciplinary nature, we bet you will find that UCR is the right place in the world for you to continue your education.
Getting Started
Prospective students who are interested in any of the graduate programs offered at CHASS are encouraged to complete the preliminary information form featured at that department's Web site. The form is designed to aid prospective students by addressing their academic needs, interests and questions prior to the submission of the official graduate school application. Following completion of this form, faculty within the desired department will evaluate applicant interests and qualifications and begin the early communication process with prospective students.
The CHASS Education Pond is a moderated blog hosted by Associate Dean Steven Brint that invites vigorous discussion of education issues with the goal of leading a renaissance in teaching and learning in CHASS.
Ready to Apply?
You’ve done your homework and decided that UCR is the place for you. The next step is to complete the official UCR Graduate School Application, which will serve as the former application to your intended graduate program. The UCR Graduate Division can provide more information on the official application procedures.
