Entertainment
In between lightning fast quarters and late-night study sessions, UCR students always find time for some fun and entertainment.
And there's no easier place to look than right on campus where there is always a multitude of events and activities such as
midday concerts on the quad, coffee house series featuring various artists from around the nation, comedians, farmer's markets, cultural events, free movie screenings,
block parties, and even snow days. Most of these events are organized by students of the
UCR Associated Student Program Board (ASPB) who are always coming up with new
ways of bringing exciting entertainment to the students. Campus clubs and organizations are also constantly sponsoring their own
events, providing students a an easy way to immerse themselves in different activities and cultures.
Those who just need to get away can find a listing of several university sponsored outdoor excursions at the
recreation center.
Students can choose from hikes, camping, horesback riding, surfing, skiing or snowboarding, snowshoeing, kayaking, biking, sailing, backpacking
and many more outdoor activities. For a bit of the outdoors on campus, the recreation center is home to a newly built challenge course available to all students.
Other popular activities for students are home games where UCR sports teams compete against other campuses around the country. For
a listing of game times, check the athletic schedule.
UCR is also a great place to find performances year-round
for students seeking alternative forms of entertainment.
These performances feature UCR students and performers
from around the world. For a listing of events, see

Culture Events.
