The American Indian Nations Website Has Launched
The highly anticipated American Indian Nations website, co-created by CHASS College Computing, the Costo Professor of American Indian Affairs, and by the Center for Visual Computing, has just been launched for public viewing. The website is designed to be a dynamic, informational resource for American Indian tribes, policy makers, scholars, students, and anyone interested in the past, present, and future of American Indian Affairs. With the debut of this website, UCR heralds its desire to create strong collaborations with California tribes.
UCR is conveniently located near several reservations of Cahuilla, Serrano, Chemehuevi, Luiseño, Kumeyaay, Cupeño, and Tongva Indians, which makes it the appropriate area for collaborative research with American Indians. Special features of the website include facts about current partnerships with California Indian tribes, discussions and debates on American Indian issues, and information about past and future events and conferences.
