We're pleased to announce that Albert Fetter began a new role as CHASS Building and Facilities Lead on October 19, 2026.

In this role, Albert will oversee operations and facility management support across all CHASS buildings, classrooms, and common areas. This includes managing day-to-day maintenance requests, coordinating move logistics and space allocation, leading emergency preparedness and safety initiatives, and managing our room scheduling systems (FMS and 25Live). He will work closely with campus partners in Physical Plant, EH&S, and Police and will serve as the college's primary Safety Officer.

Albert started at UCR in 2003, majoring in Film and Visual Media. As a student, he worked for UCR Multimedia Technologies for approximately four years. After graduating, he worked for CHASS Facilities for more than 18 years, first as an Instructional Support Technician and, since 2021, as a Facilities Tech Manager.
